AGCO And Topcon Sauer-Danfoss (TSD) to Deliver Next Generation Auto-Guide

AGCO Corporation (NYSE: AG), a worldwide manufacturer and distributor of agricultural equipment, today announced that TSD Integrated Controls, the joint venture company between Topcon Positioning Systems and Sauer-Danfoss, will be the supplier of AGCO’s next generation satellite-guided steering assist system – AUTO-GUIDE2.
“AGCO is proud to be incorporating industry-leading positioning and steering technology from Topcon and Sauer-Danfoss into each of our core global brands: Challenger, Fendt, Massey Ferguson and Valtra,” said Randy Hoffman, Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing for AGCO. “Our next generation AUTO-GUIDE2 system will provide AGCO’s global current and future customer base with technology and performance from one of the world’s leading developers and manufacturers of precision positioning software and hardware.”
The AUTO-GUIDE2 system is highly integrated into the overall architecture of AGCO machines. The next-generation system uses highly advanced inertial sensor and multi-constellation satellite positioning technology to achieve what AGCO and TSD expect to be an industry leading auto steering system that will help increase productivity and reduce input costs. “The system has tested to be outstanding in steering accuracy and has delivered reliable performance,” said Doug Durand, director of AGCO’s Advanced Technology Solutions group. “AUTO-GUIDE2 is designed with forward looking features and capabilities in mind. As our customers come to expect more and more machine automation, the new AUTO-GUIDE2 system will add core value to our machines now and in the future.”
